Yes! USCI accepts up to 18 credits from previous high school experience. We believe it is important to maximize transfer credits and will evaluate all transcripts within one week after we receive them and help students create their learning plans based on the credits that are accepted. All transcripts must be submitted within 75 days of enrollment in order to be considered. Visit our transfer credit page for more information.

USCI allows students to submit a work-credit affidavit (found at the back of the catalog) to earn up to 1.0 elective credit for relevant work experience. For full details, review our work-credit affidavit in the course catalog.

Up to 4 years, depending on accepted transfer credit. Once a student enrolls, students should complete 6 credits per year to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (please see the catalog for SAP policy details), for a total of 24 credits to complete the program. Students may take up to 30 days to complete courses valued at 0.5 credits and 60 days to complete courses valued at 1 credit. USCI High School may open an additional course at the discretion of the Registrar, provided students have shown they currently meet and can continue meeting Standard Academic Progress requirements as outlined in this catalog. Students interested in taking more than one course at a time may email the registrar at hsregistrar@ uscareerinstitute.edu.

U.S. Career Institute is Accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). And Middle States Association Commission on Secondary Schools. The DEAC and MSA-CESS are listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency.

USCI is open enrollment, so enroll anytime- it only takes about 5 minutes to complete the enrollment process. Once you have enrolled in our online high school you will receive immediate access to get started with your first course, HS002- Strategies for Academic Success.

Students must be at least 13 years old to enroll in our online high school. Parents or guardians must approve enrollments for students under 18 years old. Anyone over 18 is welcome to take our program!

Currently all books are available online through the student portal.

No. This program is 100% online, and can be completed from the comfort of your home.

Due to the online, self-paced nature of our program, we do not have a graduation ceremony. However, that doesn’t mean that your accomplishments aren’t worth celebrating! Check out our graduation ideas blog for inspiration on how you can celebrate your accomplishment! You will receive a diploma and cap and gown.

Our online courses are designed to be compatible with modern computers. The following minimal technical requirements: Intel Pentium 4 or higher, Speakers, 250 MB free of hard drive space, Windows 7 or higher, or OSX. Internet access.

No. Our classes are designed for students to take them at their own pace, whenever is most convenient for them.

Our program is designed so that students can take up to two classes at a time. This helps students focus on one or two classes at a time, giving them the necessary time for subjects that are more difficult for them.

Yes! You can message your instructors, and they will respond within two business days, typically much faster!

Our online high school is designed to be flexible and supportive, allowing you to learn at your own pace and on your own schedule. While the coursework meets academic standards and may be challenging at times, we provide plenty of resources to help you succeed. If you ever find yourself struggling, our experienced instructors are always available to offer guidance and support.

While USCI makes reasonable accommodations for its students, it does not issue traditional IEP or 504 plans. At any time, students/parents/guardians may contact USCI and request assistance with or changes to accommodations. To learn more visit our course catalog.

No. At the end of our program students will receive a high school diploma.

Our pathway (or vocational) high school programs allow students to explore career-focused electives in areas like veterinary science, business, healthcare, fitness, and paralegal studies. These pathways are designed to help students gain early exposure to potential career fields and build relevant skills. Choosing a pathway is entirely optional. Students can also follow a general education track if they prefer a more traditional high school experience without a specific career focus.

If a student fails they can retake the class for a $100 fee. Students are also expected to make satisfactory academic progress (SAP). Learn more about our SAP expectations in our course catalog.

Absolutely! USCI allows the transfer of up to 18 credits which equates to a savings of $249! In order for credits to be considered we must receive your high school transcript within 75 days of enrollment. If you attended 9th grade as part of a junior high program, make sure to include your junior high transcript so that your credits can be transferred.
