We are an open enrollment school. If you meet the requirements below, you will be accepted.

    Provide us with basic information - Our form asks for your name, email, phone, date of birth and education level. You must be at least 13 years old, have completed 8th grade, and be able to read and write in English. Students will be required to self-attest completion of 8th grade by providing the school name, address, and date of attendance. For students under 18, a parent or guardian is required to complete the agreement.

U.S. Career Institute offers a couple of different payment options, our most popular is our low $49 monthly payment plan! Learn more by visiting our financing page.

Yes! U.S. Career Institute accepts up to 18 credits from previous high school experience. We believe it is important to maximize transfer credits and will evaluate all transcripts within one week after we receive them and help students create their learning plans based on the credits that are accepted. All transcripts must be submitted within 75 days of enrollment in order to be considered. Visit our transfer credit page for more information.

U.S. Career Institute allows students to gain up to 1 elective credit for relevant work experience as defined in the student catalog under the work-credit affidavit section.

Once a student enrolls, students should complete 6 credits per year to maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (please see the catalog for SAP policy details), for a total of 24 credits to complete the program. Students may take up to 30 days to complete courses valued at 0.5 credits and 60 days to complete courses valued at 1 credit. U.S. Career Institute High School may open an additional course at the discretion of the Registrar, provided students have shown they currently meet and can continue meeting Standard Academic Progress requirements as outlined in this catalog. Students interested in taking more than one course at a time may email the registrar at hsregistrar@uscareerinstitute.edu.

U.S. Career Institute is Accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). And Middle States Association Commission on Secondary Schools. The DEAC and MSA-CESS are listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency.

Once you have enrolled in our online high school you will receive immediate access to get started with your first course, HS002- Strategies for Academic Success.

Students must be at least 13 years old to enroll in our online high school. Parents or guardians must approve enrollments for students under 18 years old.

Yes! Students in Florida can obtain a high school diploma from U.S. Career Institute's accredited online high school!

Absolutely. Our admissions team reviews transcripts from all public, private, and homeschool networks across Florida to ensure students receive full credit for coursework they have already completed.

We are a private online high school that is MSA-CESS & DEAC accredited, tuition-based private online high school open to residents across Florida, allowing for 100% self-paced flexibility without the rigid scheduling of public, charter or other Florida state-supported schools.

No. Because U.S. Career Institute is a private online high school, our graduation requirements are based on our high institutional standards and Colorado private education guidelines. Students studying from Florida earn an accredited high school diploma upon completing our core curriculum, completely bypassing local public school credit distributions or state-mandated electives.

No. Since we operate as an accredited private institution, our students are completely exempt from Florida public school standardized testing mandates, such as state End-of-Course (EOC) exams or regional assessment benchmarks. Academic progress is measured entirely through our internal, self-paced online coursework.

Every institution sets its own entrance requirements, and the acceptance of transfer academic credits and academic credentials to another institution is determined by the receiving institution. Courses in U.S. Career Institute’s high school program may or may not transfer to other institutions and depends solely on the receiving institution’s criteria and determination.

U.S. Career Institute operates as an DEAC and MSA-CESS accredited online provider based out of Colorado. As such, Florida funds for extracurricular activities are likely not available to your student.
