Instruction Pack I introduces students to the role of a phlebotomy technician. Students are introduced to health care, including information about medical terminology and medical records.

Instruction Pack II continues to build a strong foundation for a phlebotomy technician career. Students explore interpersonal skills, anatomy, safety in the medical office and first-aid procedures. The pack concludes with patient preparation and exam, where students learn various interviewing skills, and outline the patient interview process.

Instruction Pack III introduces students to vital signs and medical equipment and supplies. Students explore in-depth information on laboratory equipment and supplies, as well as how to process specimens and handle special collections. This pack concludes with concepts of ethics, compliance, fraud and abuse.

Pack IV dives into various cardiovascular-related diseases. Students explore blood collection, different blood types and how to analyze and review laboratory tests. The pack concludes with a real-world practicum that puts your course knowledge to use.
