U.S. Career Institute Launches New Website And Logo To Align With Mission And ‘Power Of Re℠’

(Fort Collins, CO- November, 2011) U.S. Career Institute’s students are on a mission to REdefine their lives with an education and a new career. Like our students, U.S. Career Institute seeks growth and REdefinition. We are REenergizing and REevaluating our goals to align with the goals of our students. We are REinventing our look and feel to better reflect our vision and our students’ energy. In this pursuit, U.S. Career Institute has undergone some exciting updates. We retain the same dedication to helping students toward a fresh start and a new career and now our brand shows it.

Let us take you through our journey…

U.S. Career Institute’s journey to REdiscovery started with our REbranding campaign: The Power of RE℠. This campaign included input from student and staff surveys and focus groups. Now, it was our turn to go through the learning process. And guess what? It worked! We found ways to better represent our school and thus reach out to more people. Now, our logo and tagline (Dream. Learn. Succeed.℠) sum up our mission of giving adults a fresh start with a new career. The website is streamlined and best of all, we are finding new ways to help our students succeed! Students can REinvent themselves and REshape their lives and we can be part of it!

Education has gone through many changes in the 30 years U.S. Career Institute has been around. Specifically, technology makes this the information age. Thus, our website is new and improved for easy navigation and search-ability to help our current and future students find the information they need—fast. Browse the website to find descriptions of each course and career, from healthcare to business. And read about student achievement. The images and testimonials on the site are from real U.S. Career Institute students who represent what we do. They encourage students to keep reaching for their goals.

The most important accomplishment of our REbranding journey is the ideas it has inspired—ideas to help our students succeed. U.S. Career Institute launched the Success Promise℠ program to REcommit to helping students. If a student does not get a job after successfully completing the Success Promise℠ program, U.S. Career Institute will reimburse their tuition. Students who complete a Certificate program and the Success Promise℠ program will be eligible to participate. The tools for success are all here!

“We are so excited to unveil the new U.S. Career Institute brand. Our REdefined brand represents our commitment to a fresh start for every student. Now, we can begin our next 30 years of service with REnewed energy and dedication,” says Jennifer Eyden, U.S. Career Institute Product Manager.

It’s an exciting time for our students and our school. Our REbranding journey has given us so much to look forward to. The credit belongs to our students. They are our foundation and our reason for being, and theirs are the ideas that inspire us to strive for excellence in all that we do.

Weston Distance Learning President Ann Rohr elected to the Accrediting Commission of DETC

WESTON DISTANCE LEARNING PRESIDENT ANN ROHR ELECTED TO THE ACCREDITING COMMISSION OF DISTANCE EDUCATION AND TRAINING COUNCIL

(Fort Collins, CO- April 4, 2011) The Distance Education and Training Council in Washington, DC, voted President of Weston Distance Learning Ann Rohr as an Institution Executive Member on their nine-member Accrediting Commission. The Commission is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Election to service on the DETC Accrediting Commission is an honor for any DETC institution executive. Rohr’s election as an Institution Member on the Commission is the Council members’ testimony to her professional career and their implicit confidence in her, as well as the educational institutions she represents.

Since 2003 Rohr has served as President of Fort Collins-based Weston Distance Learning, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. All of Weston’s postsecondary schools – U.S. Career Institute, McKinley College and At-Home Professions – are accredited by the DETC.

“We are delighted with the news of Ms. Rohr’s election, and we relish the opportunity to work with her in continuing DETC’s long tradition of conducting one of the nation’s most respected and effective accrediting programs.” said DETC Commission Chair, Dr. Timothy Mott.

DETC Executive Director Michael P. Lambert stated that service on the Accrediting Commission requires, above all else, a total dedication to the concept that there is no substitute for integrity. It requires diligence, judgment and lots of homework. He added, “Ms. Rohr will be a great addition to the DETC decision-making body, and we are delighted with her election.”

Rohr’s term will run from April 4, 2011 through March 31, 2014. She will be eligible for a second and final 3 year term in 2014.
