Courses typically cover topics like general computer hardware, basic system maintenance and management, and troubleshooting hardware issues
Although not always required, many employers prefer applicants with certification. It shows them you have the knowledge to perform well in a role as a Computer Support Specialist and have mastered national technology standards. USCI’s Certification Program includes the preparation and cost of for the CompTIA A+ Certification exams (Exams 220-901 and 220-902) offered through Pearson Vue.
Many employers will offer on-the job training, however the employee must prove mastery of standards for computer support.
