U.S. Career Institute announces Pharmacy Technician Course
(Fort Collins, CO) - November 7, 2007 - U.S. Career Institute, a nationally accredited distance learning school, announced the launching of their latest career training course, Pharmacy Technician. The Pharmacy Technician course is their 17th course to date, further expanding their course offerings in the medical field.
The course aims to provide individuals seeking new careers the skills and knowledge that will enable them to qualify for entry-level positions in pharmacies as well as prepare for the national certification exam. The course is designed to be self paced and can be completed in as little as 4 months.
“Pharmacy Technician is a perfect addition to our medical course offerings,” said Ann Rohr, president of U.S. Career Institute. “Pharmacy Technicians are in high demand and the career is one of the fastest growing in America. The hours and job flexibility in this career are a great match with our current student population who enjoy the flexibility that comes with distance education.”
The Pharmacy Technician career has a growth rate of 27% or more through 2014. The demand is a direct result of assisting our aging population, according to the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor and Statistics. Additionally, the National Pharmacy Technician Association has reported annual Pharmacy Technician job openings of over 39,000 since 2006.
